The project involved crack sealing on the Princes Highway in NSW to prevent further deterioration and reflective cracking in the new surfacing works. The client had scheduled resealing works of both asphalt and spray seal within months, and SuperSealing was chosen due to their expertise in providing effective crack sealing solutions.
To minimise traffic disruption on the busy highway, SuperSealing’s experienced Team Leader project managed the site and kept the client updated on progress and movements. The effectiveness of early works resulted in the scope of works expanding from 9km to sections of road spread over 80km. SuperSealing also managed and organised the traffic management team to stage works effectively and maximise production per day while minimising traffic control costs and disruption.
The planned sprayseal and asphalt reseal works were completed within weeks of SuperSealing’s crews finishing. The crack sealing effectively waterproofed the pavement and prevented further deterioration and reflective cracking in the new surfacing works. The sealant, SuperFlex, proved again to perform under the new spray seal works with no bleeding or issues for the works crews.
SuperSealing’s expertise and experience in crack sealing, as well as their ability to effectively manage the works and minimise traffic disruption, made them the best choice for the Princes Highway project in NSW.
