How We Make it Happen
Sustainable Materials
We’re committed to using only safe, sustainable materials. From crack sealing to road surfacing, our products are made without harmful materials. They’re also built to withstand harsh weather conditions – fewer repairs means major reduction in waste and costly works down the road.
Creating a Climate-Smart Economy
The impact on climate is central in all our surfacing considerations, including:
- Integrating climate-friendly treatments.
- Using treatments that mitigate risks caused by climate change to help communities.
- Labelling, researching the benefits and putting a cost on environmental impacts to aid our decision making.
Integrated Management System
SuperSealing has a high level of commitment to providing clients with a safe and cost effective service.
To help us achieve this SuperSealing has a fully Integrated Management System that complies with QMS ISO 9001:2016, OHS ISO45001:2018 and EMS ISO 14001:2016 which is 3rd party audited on an annual basis.
Building Resilient Communities
Instead of purely considering how many tonnes of product to use, we put the community at the heart of our decision making. Before our projects kick off, we ask the vital question: what are the costs and benefits to the local community? This is what guides our process from the very beginning.
Assessing the Environmental Impact
We’re able to conduct a Sustainability Assessment for each road to quantify the environmental impact.
Using our Super Surfacing Sustainability Assessment (SSSA) calculator, we label, compare, cost and rank each treatment option for:
- Carbon emissions created during manufacturing and application.
- Carbon emissions life-cycle effect.
- The Heat Island Effect, determining the change in surface Albedo from each treatment and quantifying the effects.
- Recycled content.
- Recyclability of products at end of life.
Safety
Safety is assessed for each job and the impact it will have, covering key areas:
- Community safety during work.
- Worker safety.
- Plant / pedestrian safety.
- Limiting access to sites.
